Doris Neal

Pacolet, SC - - Doris Ponise Brackins Neal, 75, of 420 W. Main Street, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Greeneville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Roscoe Brackins and Birdie Schults Brackins.  She retired from Ricky's Drive-Inn and was a member of Pacolet Mills Church of God.  She loved her family, cooking, reading, especially Harlequin Romance Books, and watching soap operas.

She is survived by three sons, Bryan Neal (Samantha) of Pacolet, Thomas Cannon (Linda) and Jeffrey Cannon (Jennifer), both of Cowpens; five grandchildren, Nikki, Sydney, Brynly, Casie and Ava; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas Walter Brackins, Lester Kenneth Brackins, Dale B. Brackins and Hack E. Brackins and a sister, Mildred Lee.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Morning Star Baptist Church in Pacolet with Pastor Michael John Rochester officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
