Donna Campbell

Gaffney, SC - - Donna Ackerson Dellinger Campbell, 87, formerly of Rushmore Drive, Inman, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Viva Senior Living.

Born in McDonald County, Illinois, she was first married to the late Donald Jefferies Dellinger, was the widow of the late Larry S. Campbell, and daughter of the late Perry Ackerson and Susie McNeeley Ackerson. She retired from the Department of Health and Environmental Control and was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church. She loved her family, traveling and playing cards. She was a former board member of the Cherokee Children’s Home, Inc. and a former board member of Limestone College.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Dellinger (Gail) of Gaffney and Donnie Dellinger (Thea) of Loganville, GA; two daughters, Theresa Cobb (Troy) and Tammy Humphries (Bailey), both of Gaffney; a sister-in-law, Virginia Ackerson of Bushnell, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Laura Gibson (Paul), Casey Dellinger (Billy Burch), Amber Hadden, Katie Thrift (Lance), Jenna Hiers (Matthew), Sarah Lewis, Molly Owens (Michael) and Emma Humphries; three great-grandchildren, Edy Gibson, Rhett Hiers and Tripp Hiers.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Grassy Pond Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM at the Church with Dr. Jim McClure and Reverend Mark Gregory officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Bailey and Tammy Humphries, 110 Meadow Wood Drive, Gaffney, SC 29341.
