Don Ross

Gaffney, SC - - Donald "Don" William Ross, 83, formerly of 126 Gentle Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Born in Biddeford, Maine, he was the husband of Barbara Crepps Ross and the son of the late John Ross and Florence Lynch Ross.  He was a graduate of Sanford High School and NC State and was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was retired from Erhardt and Leimer Inc., where he was Vice President of the American Branch, enjoyed traveling, a former private pilot and was an avid NC State Wolfpack fan. He was also a member of Kiwanis of Gaffney and former board President of Peach Center Ministries.  Mr. Ross was a member of Limestone Presbyterian Church, where he served on several congregational committees and was Clerk of Session.

In addition to his wife, also surviving is a daughter, Alison Fowler (Dennis E.) of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Lauren Fowler McKee (Michael) and Garret Ross Fowler, both of Gaffney; a great-granddaughter, Mary Clarke McKee; two nieces, Linda Holder (Travis) of Sanford, NC and Pam Wachtel of Chapel Hill; two nephews, Benny Crepps of Pittsboro and Chris Crepps of Virginia Beach; and a great-nephew, Brent Holder. Mr. Ross was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Ross Gunter.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Empowered Living Home Care Staff, Spartanburg Regional Hospice, Terrabella Senior Living Memory Care Staff and Tony and Holly Lipscomb and family.

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until 3:00PM on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Limestone Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00PM at the church with Mrs. Robin Morris and Dr. Lynn Miller officiating. A private interment will be held at Frederick Memorial Gardens with military honors.
