Cynthia Cole

Gaffney, SC - - Cynthia Blackwell Cole, 64, of 1503 Old Georgia Highway, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Andrew Cole and daughter of the late Charles Blackwell and Shirley Blanton Blackwell.  She was employed as a security guard and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Adam Peterson of Gaffney; a daughter, Priscilla Peterson of Gaffney; two brothers, William Blackwell and "Haystakes" Blackwell, both of Gaffney; seven grandchildren, Kaleb Peterson, Nicholas Peterson, Joseph Smith, Jr., Payton Anthony, Leland Peterson, Asher Peterson and Austin Peterson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Sanders.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, January 9, 2026 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mickey Mullinax officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
