Charlene Clary

Gaffney, SC - - Charlene Skinner Clary, 79, of 408 Grace Street, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Michael “Mike” Wayne Clary and daughter of the late William Harry Skinner and Cornelia Owensby Skinner. Charlene loved her family, was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from Nestle, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Gaffney.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her son, David Sellars (Lindsey) of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Alex Sellars, Rosalia Sellars, Madyson Sellars and Ava Sellars; her sister-in-law, Eddie D. Skinner of Gaffney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Nelson Kent Sellars, and her brother, Basil H. Skinner.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026 in the First Baptist Church Family Life Center with Reverend Kevin Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery and the family will receive friends following the committal service at the graveside.
