Cecil Cobb

Cowpens, SC - - Cecil Wayne Cobb, 83, of 174 McGinnis Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Shirley McAbee Cobb and son of the late Vernon L. Cobb and Motell Ruppe Cobb.  He retired from Ingles, was a U. S. Army Veteran, a Shriner and Mason, and a member of New Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Terry Cobb of Cowpens; a sister, Shirley Smith of Boiling Springs, SC.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam Cobb, Harry Cobb and Larry Cobb, and a sister, Doris Cobb.

Mr. Cobb will lie in state at Blakely Funeral Home after 2:00PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026.  Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, March 29, 2026 in the New Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jon Nahlen and Reverend Brandon Morris officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
