Carolyn Hopper

Gaffney, SC - - Carolyn Wyatt Hopper, 83, of 108 Crestmont Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Jessie Hopper and daughter of the late June Whelchel and Nettie Wyatt.  She retired from textiles, loved her family, and helped raise numerous children.

She is survived by a son, Ricky Sprouse (Kathy) of Gaffney; three daughters, Sandra Phillips (Tim) of Cowpens, Wanda Childers and Teresa "Susie" Sprouse (Robbie), both of the home; a step-son, Trey Hopper of Gaffney; a step-daughter, Jessica Campbell of Gaffney; a brother, Andy Wyatt of Gaffney; a sister, Sue "Pinkie" Brazell of Gaffney; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wyatt, two sisters, Gladys Pennington and Barbara Brown, a sister-in-law, Connie Wyatt and a brother-in-law, Bobby Brazell.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Memorial services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Sellars officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
