Billy Ray Oglesby

Blacksburg, SC - - Billy Ray Oglesby, 74, of 738 Dravo Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Cowpens, he was the son of the late William "Bill" Oglesby and Julia Arretta Turner Oglesby.  He was a graduate of Cowpens High School, attended Rutledge College, a U. S Army veteran, and retired from Electrical Contracting.  He loved his family, fishing and golf and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a son, Mike Oglesby (Lisa) of Blacksburg; a daughter, Gina Price (Scott) of Cowpens; six grandchildren, Kaila, Darion, Codie (Chase), Nikolas, Brandon and Makayleigh; two great-grandsons, Crew and Miller.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Oglesby, and his long-time companion, Mary Womick.
