Alan Love

Gaffney, SC - - Alan Dean Love, 71, of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Angela "Dumpy" Goode Love and son of the late Eulin Dean "Ed" Love and Ellie Mae Wyatt Love.  He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, attended Spartanburg Technical College, and a U. S. Air Force Veteran.  Alan worked as a security guard, also worked at Gene's Pit Stop and in construction.  He loved his family, his fur-babies, and professional wrestling.  He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Michael Love of Gaffney; a daughter, Madora Love Ray (Brian) of Gaffney; a brother, Rodger Love of Gaffney; three sisters, Pamela Goforth (Marshall), Roxanna Haynes (Donald), and Angie Sellers (Jerry), all of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Shane Love, Jadah Love, Christen Jackson, Aaron Ray (Victoria) and Christopher Ray; one great-grandson, Wyatt; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Torina Love.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Beaverdam Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Burkholder officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
